Austin Spruill, better known by his stage name RayZa, is an American Rapper, Songwriter and Producer, raised in Uniondale, New York. Born on October 24, 1989 in Queens, RayZa has been called, “The new voice of New York Hip-Hop.” Why are people saying that? It’s because his lyrical wit and exciting flow is a perfect match for his, unique productions. He made a name for himself in New York through battle rap, becoming known for his razor sharp lyrics and style. He came in first place when his high school threw a rap battle competition in 2006. In 2007, RayZa started an independent record label called EBE Records, where he recruited all types of talent from the local area. This made him a “Person of Interest” with some of New York's top upcoming artists and producers. A year later, he moved to the Southside of Chicago to work on music, Returning to New York more “connected”, he moved to Brooklyn in 2011 and released his first single featuring Jim Jones. This caught the attention of DJ Bobby Trends (a respected Taste Maker) who ended up breaking the song on the radio station Hot 97.
RayZa has performed on the same stages as Rakim,Crash Crew, Grandmaster Caz, Joey BadA$$ and more, RayZa is no stranger to real Hip-Hop. He was named an honorary member of the legendary Crash Crew, by its lead member Reggie Reg, who said, "We need a real artist that knows the roots of the culture and to continue the legacy of real Hip-Hop".
RayZa has released five mixtape's and a single with Platinum Selling Grammy Award Winning producer Harald Austad from Norway. The mixtape ''Zero Gravity'', which includes the hit tracks “No Time” & “Day 4”. The new album “August 11th” produced by italy's hip-hop legend DJ Guff featuring the smash singles “Planet Rock Pt 2” & “Bounce”. The track “Planet Rock Pt 2” has been added to rotation at Revolt TV Cable Network, also on the legendary Video Music Box. Now releasing the brand new "Zero Gravity 2: Saturn". His new single "Motherland" Featuring Eva Sita is now playing in over 50 countries. He has performed all throughout New York,London,Paris and Spain just to name a few areas. As the prodigy of the hip-hop legend Grandmaster Caz, RayZa has learned directly from the roots of the culture.
